34 visio rack diagram stencils
Hi All, Follow up from an earlier post -- I just decided to break down and ask for MS Visio, which the higher ups graciously provided (we actually apparently had licensing but no one actually installed it with the task dependencies. Good to know for the future I guess.. Anywho...I'm a bit adept with Visio in terms of making diagrams & whatnot. Like right now I've found practically all hardware on VisioCafe and some good generic stencils and built basically a Technical Bulletin / Diagram of...

I am trying to make a Visio Diagram of our Server Racks and would like to include the physical electrical outlets and plug types, not the electrical symbols for it. I can copy and paste images, but wanted to know if there were Visio Stencils for it?
Visio rack diagram stencils
Hey all, I am working with a Visio 2010 document with tons and tons of different stencils all clumped together on it (server rack diagram). For the life of me, I can't copy and paste the entire 'rack' because it only selects a few of the stencils and not all of them. I've tried right clicking each stencil to bring to the front, and I've tried manually selecting with a control+click - but I just can't get every stencil. Anyone happen to know if this is possible before I rebuild the whole doc...
Standard Visio stencils contain shapes that are basically used to create diagrams. The shapes can range from simple flow chart boxes or lines to more complicated shapes like servers, racks or anything else that needs to be represented in a graphical form. ConceptDraw PRO supports the possibility to open Visio stencils.

Oct 17, 2011 · This template, based on the Visio 2010 Add-in for Rack Server Virtualization, provides shape stencils for racks and servers. You can use the template to create diagrams of the rack servers (including collocated servers) in your data center environment to help compare power consumption and space utilization before and after consolidating with virtualization.
Was trying to find some cheaper solutions so that i can design flow charts, create fast infographic that look nice. Visio is just awesome to do that. I know there are DIA and a few other solutions but i find that Visio is indispensable. And i have not even gone into the stencils to draw server racks and UML Diagram. As professionals what do you guys use? As publishers or leisurer users what do you guys use?
I'm interested in what documentation you guys produce for your environment. I have overall network, per building, rack elevation, per application ports/protocols/connections, and operating procedures for the network department (things to do, what to do if something fails, etc). Everything is done in Visio using stencils for the actual devices installed (if the vendor doesn't make them, I make them. I've collected around 15GB worth) and Word for the document documents. I'm a firm believer in h...
Does anyone know where I can get free Visio stencils for Netgate appliances?

Hello, We have installed 3 new racks in our datacenter and the team have been using Excel for the rack layout and also for the switches and what ports need to be configured into which VLANs. We have a bunch of Dell Poweredge servers, Dell Compellent SANs and some switches. I want to build a diagram showing the cabling for the back of the kit to the switches etc. What do you use, Visio, Draw.io? Vision has some Dell templates it seems. Thanks
I used to spend hours in Visio creating front and back rack diagrams with all of the proper stencils and it looked awesome. But I felt like I spent a lot of time futzing so now I'm just using Excel. Obviously the boxes I draw don't look like the device but I don't care about that - I just want each box labeled and to see where we have free space, etc. Anyone else doing this?
Visio Stencils by NetZoom helps you model and visualize the data center to any level including: site, location, floor, room, zone, pod, row, rack, device, card, and port as well as all the interconnectivity between the ports. Drag and drop any server or any other device into an empty rack and copy and paste the same rack as needed.
I really like how visio has almost all of the stencils I need, which allows me to properly build out the racks (front and back), that is a big win. However, I'm trying to build a network diagram showing all the switches in the network (redundancy, multiple buildings, fiber, copper, etc....and the connector feature is driving me insane, it never wants to link things properly and automatically builds its own path often adding un-necessary 90s and overlapping of other lines. Is there software that...
